What is Remote Chapters?
Remote Chapters is a curated remote work travel program that brings together digital nomads and remote professionals in carefully selected destinations around the world. Each chapter offers a 4-week immersive experience with accommodation, coworking spaces, community events, and cultural activities.
Who can join a Remote Chapter?
Our chapters are designed for remote workers, digital nomads, freelancers, entrepreneurs, and anyone who can work remotely. You should have a stable remote job or freelance work that allows you to work from anywhere with an internet connection.
How long are the chapters?
Each chapter runs for 4 weeks, providing the perfect balance of time to settle in, work productively, explore the destination, and build meaningful connections with the community.
What's included in the chapter price?
Your chapter includes private accommodation in shared spaces, 24/7 coworking access, high-speed internet, welcome dinner, weekly community events, professional development workshops, cultural activities, airport transfers, 24/7 emergency support, and access to our alumni network.
What's not included in the chapter price?
Flights to the destination, meals (except welcome dinner), personal travel insurance, visa fees, and personal expenses are not included. We provide detailed budgeting guides for each destination.
How do I apply for a chapter?
The application process is simple: browse our available chapters, fill out the application form, and we'll schedule a call to discuss your goals and preferences. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
What's the cancellation policy?
Full refunds are available up to 30 days before the chapter start date. 50% refunds are available up to 14 days before. No refunds are available within 14 days of the start date. We recommend purchasing travel insurance.
Is the internet reliable for remote work?
Yes! We guarantee high-speed internet of at least 50 Mbps in all coworking spaces and accommodations. Each location has backup internet connections to ensure you never lose connectivity for work.
Can I work different hours due to time zones?
Absolutely! The coworking spaces are open 24/7, and many participants work with teams in different time zones. We have quiet areas for calls and meetings, and the community is very supportive of flexible schedules.
What if I get sick or need medical care?
All our destinations have excellent medical facilities, including international hospitals. We have 24/7 emergency support and can help you find English-speaking doctors. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance.
Are the destinations safe for solo travelers?
Yes, all our destinations are carefully selected for safety. We choose locations with low crime rates and friendly local communities. Our accommodations are in safe neighborhoods with 24/7 security, and we provide safety orientation upon arrival.
Can I extend my stay beyond the 4 weeks?
Yes! Many participants choose to extend their stay. We can help you arrange additional accommodation and activities. You can also join future chapters in other destinations as part of our alumni program.
Do I need travel insurance?
While not included in the chapter price, we strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical expenses, trip cancellation, and personal belongings. This provides peace of mind during your chapter experience.
What's the group size for each chapter?
Group sizes vary by destination but typically range from 10-20 participants. This creates an intimate community where you can build meaningful connections while still having space to work and explore independently.
Can I bring a partner or friend?
Yes! Many participants bring partners or friends. We offer shared accommodation options, and your companion can join community activities. Contact us for specific arrangements and pricing.
What if I don't get along with other participants?
Our community is diverse and inclusive, and we've found that participants naturally form connections based on shared interests. However, you're free to work independently and explore on your own. The experience is what you make of it.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! We offer flexible payment plans to make our chapters accessible. You can pay in installments leading up to your chapter start date. Contact us for specific payment plan options.
What happens if a chapter gets cancelled?
In the rare event that a chapter is cancelled, you'll receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another chapter. We monitor local conditions and provide updates well in advance if any changes are needed.
Can I work on my own business during the chapter?
Absolutely! Many entrepreneurs and business owners join our chapters. The coworking spaces provide excellent environments for focused work, and you'll have access to a community of like-minded professionals.
What's the average age of participants?
Our participants range from early 20s to late 50s, with most being in their late 20s to early 40s. We focus on creating diverse, inclusive communities where age is just a number.
